Subject: Illinois corn burning up?

NCSD
Honest question here... not complaining...

Saw the guy from Illinois in Chicago Tribune talking about his corn burning up and only making 150...

Does he mean that it turns brown, or does it have a different color green than what he's used to and that's what he calls "burning up"

"here" if we get 150 corn the corn pretty much stays green almost all the way to the finish line, and if it turns brown earlier than that, well, we get quite a bit less than 150...

again not complaining, just trying to understand the differences in geographies... tia
