Kindersley Sk. | It is a bran bait infected with the spores of some grasshopper eating protozoa. Does anyone have firsthand experience with this product?
The grasshopper populations were starting to go up in this area last year to the point I was considering whether I should spray a couple of fields. This area is prone to extreme numbers at the peak of their cycle, and I fear we are due for that population spike in the next year or two. So I know that this coming summer I will most likely be in the market for insecticide. I heard about this Nolobait and it peaked my interest because even though I don't think twice about doing herbicide applications, I absolutely hate spraying chemical insecticide (low LD 50s give me the creeps). So even if it is only half as effective as regular insecticides I might be temped to try this biological stuff
Basically I am asking "Does it work?"
This is what I found on a quick web search...
