Camp Douglas Wi. 40miles nw of wi. dells | Hi Ed; thanks for the pictures and explanation of wheat planting in your backyard.
I plant the corn on our family operation, my brother and we each have a Son farming with us, they basically do the rest of spring planting while I try not to be aggravating LOL.
Pull a DB 44 planter (24 row 22”) with 8310RT IVT. Have 3 monitors in cab that keeps me in tune with planter’s operation making sure it’s clicking as it should.
Planter has Dawn Frame mounted GFX row cleaners, Dawn hydraulic down pressure and up lift, row shut offs, electric drive with variable rate that gets programmed off yield monitor off combine. Tractor has auto steer of course, has auto hydraulic adjust to keep vacuum pressure on seed flow.
At 72 I wouldn’t want to plant with anything less, love the technology. I started farming in 1970 with Farmall SH pulling 4 row 38” McCormick.
