Very convenient, but....recently it was reported and substantiated that amazon paid no federal income tax for 2018 and 2017. None. Zip. Along with that, id guess that they paid no state income tax or sales tax and got property tax abatements for their warehouses. Im having a dilemma with this and not using my local retailers. they support our churches, schools, nursing homes, other local businesses and pay into the same tax system that supports our fire and police protection. How do we all feel about amazon and saving money?? I think that amazon could rule the world and we would not even realize it. There actually is a difference between tax management and tax evasion. There's not one person on this site that, if given the chance to not pay tax, through good, legal, aggressive management, would no take it. No matter what they say verbally, any chance to reduce or eliminate their tax liability will be taken. |
