Never worked out a day in my life and was severely over weight a big portion of that. I started excersizing almost two years ago and am in the best shape of my life in my mid 40's. My wife also does personal training and if you get the right trainer they will structure things you can do at any age and as your body will allow. Most people think they will need to spend a lot on a trainer which is not true. All you really need is about ten weeks of a couple times a week. This will get you the fundamentals and basics done so you don't hurt yourself and you can go from there. If your a married man I suggest working out with your spouse as it was one of the best habits my wife and I ever started as a couple.
