I believe before it was a “fad” the diet was used to treat children with epilepsy by putting the body into a state of ketosis. Reading the Wikipedia page for ketogenic diet makes you feel like there are better options to choose from when it comes to dieting. Just my opinion, I know people claim it works for them.
