| Is t the late doe season going on down there now? My stalk and spot method requires both hands be free for glassing ahead if still hunting. Back when we did drives I mostly had the gun in my hands, and would spend from daylight till dark walking, a lot of times in very deep snow. A four pound lighter gun would have been welcome back then over my old scoped 1100. Sounds like you need to get some depredation tags. We were issued 120 year for several years, it gradually started making a big difference. Now I suppose we kill about 25 a year to keep things somewhat in check. | |
