Yes, we already had the boiler since it is floor heat.

The reason we didn't go with the tankless is what people had told us about the delay for hot water. This thing can sit all night and only lose a couple degrees in temperature. And it takes very little time (and obviously little energy) to heat it back up. When I first installed it, I had hot water in about 2 minutes. And it didn't take but 15-20 minutes to go from 50 degree water to 180. I run it at 180 then mix it down to 140.

It's not the style with a coil inside the tank, it's the triangle tube smart 40 which is a tank within a tank.
