Strathcona, mn | Here is a google earth pic of paradise, ca. Wow, looks like a sea of homes built in scrub brush on a hillside with prevailing westerly winds. Perfect recipe for a disasterous fire. I could look at a topo map and a aerial pic and tell you where the high risk areas are. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out. All you have to know about is a little about fire behavior and fuel loads. I concur with who ever mentioned that homeowners insurance should have “high risk” areas out there for insurance premiums.
