That story is neat. I sort of did the same thing, tried to re-connect with the Navy guys I worked with shipboard. I managed to talk to 6 or 7, and met up with 2. Pretty amazing that after all these years (1968) to be able to find those guys. Mostly thanks to the internet and telephone service.
All I can say is boy the two I met sure got old looking! ha ha
