Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | 100 years ago was the armistice, the ending of what would become to be known as World War One.
The Eleventh hour of the Eleventh day of the Eleventh month.
I assume eastern France time zone, seven hours ahead of Central Time in the US.
So 4:00 hrs here in the middle of North America
On my recent trip to buy the Bi-Rotor combine and visit three farm boys I did basic training with back in 1963, I noticed this sign along US highway 36.
Albert Frederick "Jud" Wagner was the last surviving Marine American veteran of the First World War.
He lived in Smith County Kansas most of his life, managed the Smith County Poor Farm for many years. Then purchased a home in Smith Center.
Died in 2007 and is buried in Smith Center.
Pictures after the road sign one are from his funeral
