southern, illinois		US Army 83 to 87. One of the most interesting day was when US bombed Quadafi, was sitting in Vilseck Germany on top of 320 brand new M1 Abrahms IP tanks, about 12 ks from the Czech border. F111s wher tearing up the impact area of Grafenworh in a show of force for the soviets. German national security force knew before we did something was going on, as we would be the duty drivers for the perimeter towers for them. Normally was an M16 and a sidearm with a can of ammo when we dropped em off. That morning was normal items plus an M60 with 4 ammo cans. Was an interesting day.
