My advice would be go with a cheaper one. They are all pretty good these days. A 400$ setup will work just fine. If you really like it and get serious you can buy a better one in a few years. The resale on bows is almost zero so u don't want to spend a grand or more on something you can't get rid of. I would go to a pro shop and shoot a bunch of different ones. Lots of people like Mathews but I can't stand them they seem top heavy to me. I shoot hoyt they just seem to fit my style much better than anything else.
