We brine ours for at least 36 hours. Use a 10-12 lb turkey. They will fit in a 2 gallon zip lock bag. Put bag in a large pot, put the turkey in bag and pour brine over bird. Zip bag shut after removing all air and put it in the fridge. Get by with only using a gallon of brine this way.
