I'm kind of curious what aspect of being an auctioneer is appealing. To me, the sale day is kind of like harvest in farming. It's what everyone pays attention to, but it's the other 95% of the work you do that determines your yield. As someone else mentioned, starting up a business like that would be the same as moving into Iowa and farming all cash rent. A lot of things have to go right in order to make that work.
