North of London | I am not a geologist either but think that part of the crater is on land and the rest under water.
I think there are sink holes on the land section. At least I think I have read about that.
Guess I should look up when it was first recognized as a crater from a strike and I know the link to the worldwide devastation was relatively recent, having to do with the quartz that was mentioned in this thread.
Would be interesting to have enough knowledge about the rocks I pick up to understand where they come from and how they got to my land.
Quite a variety we deal with from limestone to granite. | |
