NEKS
I don't believe that this asteroid caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.
The entire fossil record and entire sedimentary layers are basically a snapshot in time. All were laid down at the same time. There may have been dinosaurs after that, but it would much harder for fossils to form after the flood.
The flood would have produced the asteroid that came back to earth, so the fossil record and sedimentary layers would have probably been completely laid down when the asteroid came back to earth.
Post flood or during (if that is when this asteroid returned) sedimentary layers would have been water saturated until they were fully cemented. It is possible the rock particles were in a uncemented saturated state when the asteroid hit.
The flood laid down the sedimentary layers and fossils in those layers. The flood also produced the earth's radioactivity in the crust. Prior to the flood life was easier because of no radioactivity. Post flood radioactivity made life more difficult, thus dinosaurs largely went away after the flood.

Did something big happen on earth 5000 years ago?
Consider the change in calendars from 360 days to 365 days.
Comets (all of them) that can't be older than 10,000 years old.
Recent rapid change of the tilt of the earth's axis. See the work of George Dodwell.
Similar flood legends (230+) from around the world. How could they all make up the same story?
