North Dakota
Worst.

When I was 18 my father was backing up versatile 750 tractor to hook up cultivator. It was a dewy morning and his foot slipped off the clutch. Pinned my right leg in between tractor hitch and cultivator hitch. When I came to I was laying inside cultivator. Crawled out got up and tried to walk and fell down. Looked down at my leg and my fibula was sticking out of my Levi jeans. I thought this ain’t good. Father drove 100+ mph 50 miles to the hospital and I felt every bump along the way. That was a bad day. Could have been much worse though. Doc said it missed the major nerve that operates the foot by
1 mm. If severed I would have had drop foot for the rest of my life. Always darkest before the dawn.
