Tom kept his word and retired to let Frank take over as head coach.

Frank got into personal problems that led to his firing, along with a new upper administration at the University that wanted to take power away from the football team. Frank was not fired for his football wins/losses stats.

When Frank was fired, they had no plan in place for a new coach and finally hired Callahan who was great at recruiting and was a good coach, but never got it all working for wins. He did not embrace the Nebraska culture/traditions at all.

Coach Bo got hired and did well with Bill's players, but not with his own recruits. Bo was a hot tempered A-Hole and although he was a great defensive coach, he was poison for moral. Few people miss him.

Mr. Nice then got hired from Oregon St. and I hoped things would go better, but he was too busy taking the team out for ice cream treats and should have taken them weight lifting.....

Now we have the prodigal son who returned during college and won a share of a National Championship. He seems to be a great coach and motivator. Since he was booed at Memorial stadium by his own fans as a player, he is ready to be a head coach......

Let the future play on!!!
