I'm beginning to wonder if the reason bean futures hasn't fallen more is that the lack of farmer selling has prevented the large speculators from running their normal routine of swapping their shorts with the commercial short hedges. The other possibility is that the funds are preventing futures from falling too much further and avoiding larger losses from the harvest price insurance option.
So there's no chance that maybe people had enough foresight that these beans are largely sold for $10 already? If you're sold 40 bushels @ $10 your bills are mostly paid and you're sitting on unpriced bushels because you don't need the money.
