Fontanelle, IA | This is just a question.... but if China would devalue its currency (which article said the finance minister said that China would NOT lower its currency), wouldn't that make all those Brazilian beans even more expensive? And, any soybean supply shortfalls that they "might" buy from the US, would get even more expensive?
Is there an adjustment clause between Russia and China in their new agreement to raise beans together for china needs that would "flex" with currency changes.... IE. If Russia said, "sure, we'll rent you this piece of dirt for $250 million.... how is that priced in Rubles?, In china $$?, gold?, Who would get the shaft in the deal if China would devalue its currency? (again, the China finance guy said China wouldn't stoop that low so this is pure speculation question.)
