That worldwide event better hurry up and get here.

I'm beginning to wonder if the reason bean futures hasn't fallen more is that the lack of farmer selling has prevented the large speculators from running their normal routine of swapping their shorts with the commercial short hedges. The other possibility is that the funds are preventing futures from falling too much further and avoiding larger losses from the harvest price insurance option. As I've pointed out a couple of years ago, it really won't take too much money to support the price in comparison to how much they could lose if it continued to fall thru Oct.
Absent any news, I look for this market to coast along until Nov. when the reality of a big crop becomes "reality" and some people are forced to sell to pay bills.
