East central Indiana | 10% tariff on $200b of imported Chinese goods would amount to a $20b tariff which would ultimately be paid by the consumer of those goods and would be paid to the US government.
So the tariff is really a tax that is paid by the consumer to the US government.
Don't really understand why we are in a trade war. We buy goods from China cause they are the most efficient producer and that causes a surplus. I can understand why some wouldn't like that but beyond that what else is behind the trade war?
What has China done that's so bad?
