flyin45 - 9/17/2018 08:13 There's gonna be a lot of phenomenal yields in Illinois with less than ideal weather somehow. We were baling waterways in June that we normally don't because we were burning up and looking to be short on feed. Caught only 1 decent rain all of July and didn't get any good rains till 3 weeks ago. The early maturity corn has been running 270 dry across the scales which I thought was tremendous until we got into the 112 and 113 maturity. Have done 2 fields so far. One went 302 and the other 311 shrunk to 15%. It really is amazing what these hybrids can do with almost no rain.
Did you weigh any ears? Thats over a half pound of dry grain per ear. Impressive!! |
