Central Wisconsin | We use a food dehydrator, the ones with 3 or 4 dounut shaped trays. I usually start the samples after I'm done feeding in the morning then check the finished weight the next day before feeding. I have checked the weight in the evening and most times it doesn't change by morning so 8 to 12 hours is probably all you need to dry down a sample.
As for rained on feed, I just fill the mixer to volume that morning ( but that probably doesn't help if your not overflowing your mixer). | |
