The Palouse North Idaho | We put some bleach in a waterer once, just a couple of ounces to kill the algae and the cows would not drink from it. I think it was a the bleach smell. We drained it and re filled it and they then used it.
In another case, we setu p a big stock tank at the fair and filled it with city water. That water was chlorinated and the cows didn't want to drink from that tank. I always figured they smelled or tasted the chlorine treatment. | |
