Nebraska aka the boondocks
A one inch rain is all relative to how you dry you are etc. I recall in 2006 the corn was burning up, we were racing to ridge the corn to water it. We had a one inch rain and the ground ridged prior to the rains was still powder dry below the surface. We had .80 last night and with 85% plus saturation in the top three feet, we are goood for this week as the forecast has dropped several degrees and rain is back in the forecast.
