Nebraska | The farmers that I know of who committed suicide in the last 10 years had nothing to do with their business. They were prosperous and successful.
It quite frankly was: marriage issues & addiction, combined with anti-depressant drugs.
And also,,,,quite frankly.... I think that rather than a LACK of psychiatric care.... it is the abundance of that care the the willingness to prescribe anti-depressants is what is causing the increase.
IMO when the side effects of something are worse than the underlying problem it is treating we need to stop and take a good hard look at what the medical and drug professions are doing. | |
