Floyd County, Iowa | I was fishing there one Sunday when a big Bayliner on a roller trailer was backing down the concrete ramp to launch at Emerson's Bay on West Okoboji. That ramp is pretty steep, and has 2" crosswise ribs in it for traction.He was in a hurry.
He should have left the bow strap attached until he was in the water. He hit the brakes backing down, and the boat rolled off the trailer and skidded down the ramp a ways. Tore the lower unit off and busted up the hull pretty bad. | |
