Jon - 4/25/2018 07:44

There were several replies to my post below that did not like my strategy.

I will list my goals and you guys can suggest a way to make them happen. Thanks

I am way over 50% sold on new crop soybeans @ above $10. I can make money at that price & have crop insurance to protect yield guarantee.
What I don't want to happen is to deliver $10 beans in a $12 or post $12 market. If I deliver beans @ $10 in an $8 market I am good with that and am willing to sacrifice a few $.00 for that privilege.

Talk strategy to fulfill those goal's. Thanks

Hi Jon,
If it were me and I had bull fever, I would likely be looking at something short dated, nearer the money. Way out of the money calls for me is something I will buy to sell against with reckless abandon. But you are already sold heavily and likely a rally to that level would leave you unhappy having left so much on the table, and get in the money about the time it turns. Personally I would save my powder for a better opportunity

Take care
