Most calls do indeed expire worthless, as do puts. So the most reliable bet to add to the cash price is to sell puts. That is speculation as you know. Buying calls has high odds of being a failure. IMO the way to manage being long calls is having an itchy trigger finger when the weather scare comes in to play....avoid greed. | |
