| Needing a new desktop. Primarily web browsing with some video processing. Saw these 3 at Wal Mart and am using them as a baseline for comparison. Dell 3650 Intel core i3-6100 processor, 6GB memory, 1TB hard drive Win 10 tower only for $400. HP Pavilion 550-153wb Intel core i3-4170 processor 6 GB memory 1 tb hard drive Win 10. Complete with monitor and all for $500. HP with Pentium J2900 processor, 4GB memory, 1 tb hard drive. Complete with monitor for $400. Last is an Acer wit an Intel Celeron dual core, 4GB memory, 500G hard drive. Forgot the price but I think it was $300 for the tower alone. My monitor and accessories are just fine. Would one of these be a good start, or should I go custom? Win 7 vs 10? Never been around 10, but I hear it fixed most of the problems 8 had. Really don't have any software to worry about making the switch.
