Ontario | regular hard drives won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
An SSD can read and write data far faster but that doesn't really benefit the average user all that much. They also have a limited number of writes although these days that limit is high but it still means that drive basically has an expiration date. Really unless you're playing games or something else that involves large files there's really no need for a SSD.
That said the faster boot time is nice and pretty much anything you open (pictures, browser, videos, documents etc) will be nearly instant. I guess it's up to the individual weather that's worth it to them or not
