Subject: RE: Pulling power

West Central Arkansas
I have a 2014 3500 Ram Crew Cab 4x4 flatbed with 6.7 Cummins and the heavy duty Aisen automatic tranny. Mind you the truck only has 13k miles. Typical loads are a 25 ft flatbed gn trailer with 14 4x5 round bales plus two bales on the truck bed. These trips are 7 miles. 9 MPG and 13 MPG with empty trailer. The trip includes crossing a healthy Arkansas ridge where the highway turns a 90 degrees curve at the bottom of the ridge lust prior to starting the incline. The RAM easily gains speed going up the ridge loaded. Previous truck was a 2000 GMC 2500 auto with 5.7 gas engine. The lack of power resulted in placing only 10 4x5 bales on the trailer and nothing on the truck. The ridge would pull the truck down to 10 mph while the driver prayed that the engine didn't cough. Loaded mileage was 8 mpg.

Love the RAM!
