scmn | Not all 840 tags are RFID, our are large. We are tatooing also. Just easier to read the tag when sorting that tatoo which I assume is the same reason you put in the maxi tags. Sure is fun DHIA test with three cows #160; DHIA here has gone to using 840 tags with our without RFID so every cow had a unique id. IIRC they charge less for 840 tags than Fleet Farm does for same tags in 25ct pkg.
