I like things tidy and somewhat organized. I've found that an uninterrupted 20 minutes of cleaning every night before bed really helps, and it doesn't get away from you, seems to work for us. There is a good saying, a bit harsh but still good, that I think holds a lot of water, at least in the cases I've come across - "A spotless house is a sign of a wasted life".
