I'm selling both mine back. Why wouldn't someone turn theirs in for 2015 prices in 2017 plus take the restitution, then wait until some of these are reprogrammed, and buy one back at 2017 Bluebook prices? That's my plan. They're going to try to get their money back out of these. Sounds like anything 2013 and newer that already has DEF is just a reflash of the ECM away from being compliant. For me it's strictly a business decision. I basically put 40,000 miles on 2 cars for the price of fuel and a set of tires each. I bought my 2011 Jetta for $17k used in 2013. Buyback plus restitution is over 18k (I haven't driven it in 5 months to keep the miles off). I've put 40k miles on it.

I'll wait until they start reselling the reflashed 2013 Jettas 6 months from now, buy one for 9000, spend 1000 having it deleted and that addition $8000 goes right in my pocket.

I wish I could do this every 4 years. It's amazing people are complaining about it.
