The Lincoln and Omaha school districts get a big share of the tax money. The rural schools not so much. Most rural schools are under funded and quality is going down hill fast. It is not like it used to be many years ago
almost all of the real estate taxes in your county go to your County Schools and you elect your school board. No real estate personal property taxes leave the county
