geez garvo, I kinda read jim's comments differently, don't really understand the animosity in your post.

don't you think that if your profit is continually coming at the cow-calf guys expense, you're going to run out of calves to buy someday?

seen this very thing happen in the pig world.

Jim's statement that lockin in a profit the day the feeders are bought is not a marketing plan is one of the most idiot comments I have seen Ricksitzmann is spot on-I know of several feeders in last couple years that lost a pile of money and quit because they bought cattle to high and never locked in a break even or profit.



okay I see what you are saying.       I guess I read it differently, if in fact jim meant that, i'd whole heartily agree with you.
