68791 | Honestly, depending on the type(cow/calf or feeding) of operation that doesn't sound bad for the year. Some of the other responses about belt-tightening I think are relevant but otherwise it was not a good year and that does not make you a bad operator.
Were the guys who had cows in 2014 geniuses? IMHO I don't think so because that's what the market did and it went up if you did a good job or poor job.
