SW Ont | I tore down the barn on our home farm when I was just past a teenager. Was determined to get rid of that old barn. Cleaned it all up and was happy. Later I came to regret my plan. Wished I had saved beams to rebuild something. A lot of history left when those beams and boards were hauled away. I admire your plan to preserve the history. If it was me I would tear it down and save material. Build new w a post and beam style incorporated into the design. Best of both worlds. Good luck. | |
