| I have a neighbor that has a precision everything on a newerJD planter and the other is an old Orthman tool bar with two Cyclo units .There was no difference in yield checks.The one planter probably cost $100K the IH wouldn't bring $1500. I always felt timing and field conditions were the most important.Whenever we have ever had problems it was from wet cool conditions right after planting.This year we had high straight line winds in July at pollinating time that affected yields 50BPA. | |
