West Tennessee | I know an older farmer here who used to do that all the time. He "carried" the disc so it only cut an inch or two deep. I was so green at the time I had to ask him what "carry" the disc meant. If I remember right it was good to go pretty fast. I've never done it but know for sure it will work. We drill ours because we're not really well equipped to disc much ground. There used to be a lot of people here who would disc the ground and then sow the wheat and fertilizer and then run a doall over it. That was very common until everyone had no till drills. | |
