Subject: RE: Soil Tests and Phos question

Manitoba
I have been told and accept that a # added will not move test by equal amount.

so in my situation (trying to do multi year app on only part of my acres) and if trying to do what i'm doing (if it is a good idea at all, not saying that it is) I would just apply crop removal for the number of years and intended crops and not worry about what the soil test indicates ? except maybe just use the initial soil test as a baseline or starting point. maybe do a soil test every 3 years prior to application just to see if i'm edging up or down to tweak amounts i'm adding? and if tests are what I consider unacceptably low apply above removal rates to try and slowly improve over time?
