South Central Wisconsin
00rooster - that is what always seemed logical to me. Waiting for the combine to reach the cart instead of chasing the beast all over the field. sometimes that means catching a load before the combine's grain tank is completely full, but it saves the time and travel across the field. I would think the goal is minimize the cart's time driving across the field as much as possible to reduce compaction and tire wear.
