Subject: southern beef plants

NW Wisconsin
Where do all the cows and finished beef go in the southeast. Back in the '80's I think there was a morel plant in Montgomery that got a lot of cattle hauled in for backhaul rates when feeders were moving. I hauled a lot of dairy heifers down there but it was always the wrong time of year to load feeders back out. I realize not many cattle are finished down there, but with the boom in grass finished, couldn't someone get a plant going for that segment. I would think grass finished would work in that part of the world?
