SCIA | Personally, Deere is over priced and not user friendly. Ran Agleader for several years, let the deere dealer talk us into deere AMS equipment at combine trade time. Lost most of our harvest data the first year. Went back to Agleader and get along fine, again. Have several different tractors, a combine and a sprayer with Agleader auto steer, swath control, variable rate planting and fertilizer and advanced seed tube monitoring(had "PP" 20/20). It is sitting in the shop, unused, as "PP" could not get it to monitor and run the air bags at the same time. Went to hydraulic DF from Agleader, flawless operation.
Agleader also announced, this month, a "joint venture" with deere on "PP" equipment. Sounds to me like all the "PP" goodies will be available from Agleader.
If you are unsure on how to proceed, find a local dealer who can walk you through the first steps. Price around, just because most of your equipment is deere, does not make them the best option for your operation, both in price and ease of use.
If your equipment is not equipped with valves and so forth (auto steer ready), Any brand used will require a complete system.
And, as said, there is a ton of used equipment available. | |
