NE SD | I put together a spreadsheet calculating to age 75 and how much I would get by taking SS at age 62, at age 66 yrs 2 mos. and then at age 70. If I start on my 62nd birthday coming up soon, I will take in about $11K more by age 75 than if I wait til I am 66 or about $42K more than if I wait til I am 70. A person can earn $15,720 while taking in SS before full retirement age but for every $2 over that they take away $1 benefits. The decision to draw depends a lot on your income. | |
