You have an concern that a lot of the corn belt guys don't worry about because there probably won't be much wheat grown around the area where they had their last wheat field.

Some wait till the volunteer sprouts, then Round up it. I have noticed that if it's seeded to aggressive and diverse species of cover crops like sudan, oats, radish, etc, the growth of the volunteer wheat is greatly reduced....but it's still there.
