I don't think a kill switch would help these problems. From what I understand, when the pumps go out the damage comes from bearing shrapnel going through the accessory drive gears and it's ruined before it ever gets hot.
Heckuva design.
The one he was working he said that if the guy had stopped it would have been less damage. It was hot enough that it needed a complete rebuild. |
